Diholter Dipolter — ???

Diholter, dipolter, who trudges through the fir tree,

diholter, dipolter, the Santa Claus.

His coat is red and his pockets are wide,

his nose is blue and his beard is snowy.

Diholter, dipolter, what he pulls is so heavy,

he pulls a sleigh close behind him.

Full of apples, full of nuts, full of sugary treats.

At the top is peeping out a doll

For whom does the old man drags it all around?

For anyone who is the worth it and does his best

The father gets pants, the mother gets shoes

Little Katherine a dress and the rest you get it

Diholter, depolter, who jiggles the house,

who shakes the snow out of his mantel,

who stamps his feet and knocks at our door,

Diholter, dipolter, the Santa Claus!!

Diholter, dipolter, was zieht er so schwer,
